Alba, Texas is a town in Wood County in northeastern Texas. It has a population of around 800 people and is located near the town of Mineola. The name Alba is derived from the Spanish phrase meaning "white," referencing the many cotton fields that used to line the area. The town was founded in 1876 and has the distinction of being the oldest continuously inhabited community in Wood County.
Alba is surrounded by forests and wildlife and offers a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and biking.
