Canton is the birthplace of two NFL players and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Detroit Lions wide receiver Mike Evans were both born in Canton. Ray Price, a pioneer of country music, was born in the city on January 12, 1926. Canton is also home to the annual First Monday Trade Days event. This event, which started in 1850, is one of the largest flea markets in the country and is held at the same location every first Monday of the month between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
