Quitman, Texas is a small town of less than 2,000 people, located in Wood County, an hour and a half east of Dallas. Founded in 1874, Quitman is the county seat and has served as a hub for local commerce ever since the arrival of the Houston and Texas Central (H&TC) Railroad in 1881.
